In April 2016, Diphlu River Lodge was honoured to have had the opportunity to host the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, HRH Prince William and Catherine Middleton, on their state visit to India.
Diphlu River Lodge is immensely proud to have been adjudged as the 2nd Best Wildlife Resort in India by Lonely Planet magazine, 2013.
Diphlu River Lodge was the highlight of [our trip] and a perfect way to end what was a memorable time in fantastic India. The large, private high-quality accommodation, the exceptional staff, the location and the food could not be faulted.
Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge stayed here and were delighted with the quaintness and serenity of the lodge. It would be ‘lese majeste’ for me not to concur! The cottages made from local materials... and little touches like old lanterns show that a great deal of trouble has been taken to ensure an ethnic rural touch.
The whole stay feels like a very personalised, stress-free and relaxed experience... Another note of admiration is the support the lodge provides to the local community in terms of sourcing ingredients for all the delicious foods and helping local youngsters.
