Reservations
​
Reservations can only be confirmed on receipt of a deposit of 20% of the total cost (or full payment if booking is being done within 4 weeks of arrival at Jungle Lodge).
Final balance should be paid no later than 4 weeks before arrival at Lodge. Failure to pay may be treated as cancellation, and our cancellation terms applied.

Cancellation policy
​
As a small, privately-run establishment we prefer to have 100% security that clients do not forfeit their reservation. We feel it would not be fair to potential clients to decline availability and then have reserved guests not turn up.
​
- More than 12 weeks before arrival, 10% of published price as cancellation charge.
- Less than 12 weeks to 8 weeks before arrival, 20% of published price as cancellation charge.
- Less than 8 weeks to 4 weeks before arrival, 30% of published price as cancellation charge.
- Less than 4 weeks to 2 weeks before arrival, 50% of published price as cancellation charge.
- Less than 2 weeks before arrival, we will retain 100% of invoice amount as cancellation charge.

Accommodation will be provided for booked dates only and no refund shall be entertained for unused nights or early check outs. Postponement of dates is tantamount to cancellation.

Check-in / Check-out
​
Check-in time is any time from 12:00 pm (mid-day) on the date of arrival. Earlier check-in can be arranged if your reserved room is not occupied on the night before your arrival, feel free to ask. Check-out time on the date of departure is 10:00 am. If the room is not vacated by this time, the customer may be subject to another night’s charge. We do not accept guests for check-in between the hours of midnight and 8 am unless a room has been booked for the previous night.

Fire hazard
​
All thatch and bamboo cottages of Diphlu River Lodge are non-smoking rooms and we strongly discourage smoking, lighting of candles or using fire in any other form inside the cottages or within the Lodge premises unless directly supervised by the Lodge Management.

Conduct
Clients and guests are asked to respect the cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere of Diphlu River Lodge, the management reserves the right to eject any guests or clients found to be conducting themselves disrespectfully or inappropriately.

Clients and guests are responsible for the behaviour of any visitors they bring on-site and in particular for the orderly conduct of said guests and in ensuring that no noise or nuisance is caused either to the management or to other guests or clients. Only registered guests are permitted lodgings, any visitor remaining after 10 pm must register and pay the full room tariff.

Please note that we have a strict no-noise policy between the hours of 09 pm and 10am and we also have a no-drugs policy, anyone found with any illegal substances will be asked to leave immediately with no refund and no prior warning.

We provide a full, 24hr laundry service and we urge our guests to make use of this. In keeping with the aesthetic of Diphlu River Lodge guests must not use their accommodation or outside space for the washing or drying of clothes.

Safety
​
Clients must accept the decisions of the Lodge manager, who is responsible for the safety of the lodge. The lodge manager shall have the power to remove from the lodge any client if considered necessary for their medical safety or whose actions are materially affecting the enjoyment of other clients.
​
Loss or damage
​
The company cannot accept liability for loss or damage to passengers' property whilst staying with us.
​
Insurance
​
It is strongly recommended that you take out adequate travel insurance. Please read your policy details carefully. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is adequate for your particular needs.

Insurance
​
We regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance is prevented or affected by or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of “force majeure”, meaning any event which we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual, perceived or threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.

Extra charges
​
All extra services, other than the contracted agreement are chargeable and to be paid directly at the resort.
​
Disputes​
​
Any dispute arising out of this contract will be governed by Indian law under Guwahati High Court jurisdiction.
